It is my intention to use this small space to keep our friends updated on the happenings at the Center. This month, Dolphin House staff and Board members are working diligently to promote two of our annual fundraisers- the annual Barn Dance and our newest event, the Run to Defeat Child Abuse Virtual 5K.
The Barn Dance has been a tradition for the Dolphin House since 2015. Generously hosted by Board Vice President Cathy Ullman and her husband Mike on their gorgeous ranch, the dance features the music of The Anders Brothers, dinner catered by Rib City Grill, a silent auction, and plenty of fun side events; this year, we are including a round of Cowboy Trivia!
The Virtual 5K was created in 2020 in response to the restrictions on in-person fundraisers due to the Covid 19 pandemic; never did we think that it would prove as popular as it did! Participants from as far away as Hawaii and Maryland proudly donned our signature T-shirt and took to the road to raise money for our Center. IN doing so, they helped to raise awareness of child abuse and the on-going fight to provide support for those least ab le to protect themselves.
Proceeds from both fundraisers go directly to client services, including Forensic Interviews, mental health services, and support provided by our advocates at the Center. The Dolphin House is fully funded by grants and contributions, so our fundraisers are vital to the continuation of our work.
If you, or someone you know, are interested in attending the Barn Dance or participating in the Virtual 5K, information for each event is right at your fingertips, on this website. I hope you find it useful and informative.
Thank you for your support of the Dolphin House!
